Add widescreen & HD options for uploading movies

I uploaded a widescreen video and your system crunched it. Please add HD and widescreen options. Have you thought about using the same standards as youtube? They seem to have the best general video standards on the web.

Also, we'd like a better help section on formatting video for uploading on your site!

how 'bout "favorite saint" on one's profile?

Add another "favoirte" field in the profile so that one can list a favorite saint, upload an image, and add a bio detail or quote.

Faster searching, front page search bar & publisher pages.

You need to have a search field box on your front page. Not just the text to click to search... that takes too much time. Just put the field there.

Also, why can I not search by publisher. You have all those publishers listed on the bottom, but when I click them it takes me to their website. That's fine but it's a little confusing because I thought it was going to take me to the publishers part of the site on your website... or make all the results only one publisher. Please add this. It will make searching much easier.

Also have you thought about developing "home pages" for each publisher. Kinda like iTunes when there is a big name band and you click just the artist name there is a special page with every one of their albums, usually with an artist bio and pictures/videos of them. This would be a nice feature to add, and also would appeal to your publishers I'm sure. Big names like GIA would love it.

Lastly, MAKE SEARCHING FASTER. Your front pages loads somewhat fast, but when I search it takes forever. Unfortunately we are all have been trained by google to expect quick results.

Can you please work on these above listed. I really want to see you all take off!

Adding staff picks?

It'd be cool to have a section for staff picks. That always adds a nice community feel for the end user.

Can you add a how to upload section. YouTube has a nice section with videos as well as a list of formats. Maybe I just haven't found this yet on your site though.

I also think the feature box is a little to big. I'd make it a little smaller so you can have other clips on there.

Lastly, it would be nice to see a twitter feed on the side, or be able to add your own twitter feed on your own page. For example I can have my own YouTube channel, but I don't think I can add my own twitter rss feed on there. That'd be a cool feature YouTube doesn't have. You might also put a button for people to follow MCV on twitter on the front page. It could say "Follow us on twitter".

Tooltips for video thumbnails.

http://www.mycatholicvoice.com/people/fmfosnacht for example. The thumbnail titles are cut off, so you could have a tooltip (see hulu.com for an example) that can give more information.
